AMIS - Asset Management Information Solution

Axim assist Infrastructure Asset owners manage and maintain community infrastructure by implementing effective Asset Management information solutions. The key to our success is understanding our clients needs and objectives and to implement a sustainable scaleable solution to match the needs, capabilities and resources of our clients.

One of the key differentiators of our solution is that we have a team consisting of highly experienced Business Analysts, Asset Managers and System Engineers who all have an in depth knowledge of Asset Management and are able to assist our clients achieve their desired objectives.

AMIS is deployed via an affordable Managed Service arrangement and consists of the following components:

  • AMIS AMS (Asset Management System)
    • Network Manager (AMS-NM)
    • Spatial Manager (AMS-SM)
    • Asset Manager (AMS-AM)
    • Maintenance Manager (AMS-MM)
    • Public Enquiry Manager (AMS-PEM)
  • AMIS mobile
  • AMIS connect
  • AMIS scheduler
  • AMIS reporter
  • AMIS LCCA (Life Cycle Costing Analysis)
  • AMIS Support
  • AMIS AMS consists of:

Network Manager - a comprehensive tool to manage, distribute and maintain asset network information and its associated data. It is used as an integrator for proper location referencing of all data.

Spatial Manager – is used in conjunction with Network Manager to provide for full map-based graphical display of asset networks and attributes.
    General features include:

  • View database spatially
  • Graphically manage network element and referencing method
  • Graphically manage asset and inventory
  • Supports operational processes through map functionality (e.g. input enquiry details, raise defects and generation of works orders)

Asset Manager – the repository of all infrastructure assets data. Users are allowed to define their own data dictionaries including types and attributes. It is also able to store valuations and condition data which will aid in the long term asset management and reporting.

Maintenance Manager – manages workflow process of the day-to-day routine maintenance tasks and programmed activities performed on assets. This facility enables Service providers to demonstrate compliance with their Risk Management Plan.

    Maintenance management functions include:

  • scheduled asset inspections
  • defects identification and treatment recommendation
  • assignment of relevant response time
  • estimation of level of efforts / bill of quantities
  • generation of “Work Orders” and records the completion of each defect repaired
  • progress monitoring of available budgets

Enquiry Manager - can assist Councils to make the most in their investment in public relations and community involvement efforts. It enables the council to log, track, manage and resolve complaints and enquiries from the rate payer effectively and efficiently and maintains data relating to communication with Councils stakeholders and also maintains a history of all enquiries from initial contact to close out.
    Enquiry manager functions include:

  • track public enquiries and complaints
  • initiate inspection and works orders
  • monitor enquiry status and progress
  • access detail reports
  • initiate standard and ad-hoc queries
  • date stamp all enquiry activities
  • close and maintain enquiry history

AMIS mobile – field data capture application that enables spatial data captured in the field. It utilises GPS enabled hardware (e.g. PDA’s and mobile computers) to assist with the collection of data from field inspections, public enquiry or to undertake condition and inventory surveys.

Data is downloaded from AMS into the field hardware and updated by the users. Various validity and integrity checks are applied to ensure accuracy. The collected data is then uploaded into AMS with time and date stamp.

Inspectors can use AMIS mobile to interrogate the available data to make informed decisions by understanding the relationship between defects, customer requests, environmental issues and planned works.

AMIS connect – provides direct synchronisation between field data capture device and AMS and it simplifies the data uploading and downloading process.

AMIS scheduler – enables planners to organise their inspections and cyclic works programmes efficiently. Schedules can be pre-established and available for download to the Inspectors and Works Managers field data capture devices.

AMIS reporter – provides direct web access to ‘real time’ data contained in AMS. Users can gain access to predefined reports which will be customised to meet specific needs.

AMIS LCCA – tool for assets life-cycle-costing modelling. This component is user definable and provides flexibility for model setup, data analysis and reporting.

It can perform analysis and modelling for assets at both Network and Project levels. It is NOT a “black-box” because it promotes transparent analysis; analysis parameters, variables, assumptions and formulations are available for users’ access and interrogation.

AMIS Support - telephone and e-mail support is provided for AMIS by our dedicated team based in our Sydney offices. Onsite AMIS training is also be provided by our team who have extensive experienced and understanding from a users perspective. Additionally we are readily available to attend site to address any urgent issues that may arise, however the support requirements resulting from our AMIS Managed Service arrangement are able to be resolved much quicker as our team is also able to access the AMIS database remotely.
